Mission Field: Techiman Ghana, West Africa
Missionary Letter:
Dear Praying friends,
I bring you greetings from Ghana West Africa. Thank God for the opportunities God has given us here in Ghana to work for Him.
As a result of the heavy rains we have had of late, it has really affected our attendance on Sunday mornings. But thank God we saw one saved at church last Sunday. We praise for on Tuesday on our usual visitations at the villages we had an opportunity to visit and encourage those believers at the villages and to preach in the evening. I was at Boankron and Forikrom about five to six miles from Techiman. What a joy it was to spend some time with them.
As soon as I returned from the village, I received a call from one of the church members in Techiman that one of the Christian brothers Bro. Abudu Mahama who had a moslem background but now saved and baptized at the Calvary Baptist Church was on admission at the Holy Family Hospital here in Techiman. I went immediately and prayed with him and the family. The next morning, I was there with some of the church people to pray with him again. Pastor Miguel and I were there some time in the afternoon to do the same but about an hour or so after our visit, he went to be with the Lord.
Yesterday, we had the funeral service at the church and I spoke from John 3:14-18. Praise the Lord that his son of about twenty years of age came to talk to me about what he heard. He hasn't prayed to receive Christ yet, but please pray with me on that as I continue to talk with him.
Praise the Lord with me that both Michelle and Christiana are now responding to the teatment of malaria which had so weakened them for the past two or three weeks.
That has been the reason for our constant prayer need to be able to ceil our house for our protection from the swamp of mosquitoes which are to main course of malaria the number one killer desease in Africa.
Next week | will be at Bolga to visit with our missionary and the encourage them in the work of our Lord.
Thank you for your prayer and financial support. With love from Techiman, Ghana.
Awaiting His shout!!
Samuel.
