A testimony of what the Lord has done.
To God be all the glory for the great things He has done. Having held a three day evangelistic meeting from Thursday December 27 to 29, 2007, the New Year started with the follow up and discipleship work of the 8 people who came to know Lord. Many of these should have being baptized on Easter Sunday had it not been some marital irregularities they are working on now. The regular programs of the Church keep running smoothly such as: the weekly visitation program which has seen a slight rise in the attendance. There are souls saved every week of which many are reluctant to join us. Sunday morning is constantly on the increase. A twice a week local Bible School for those who are eager to learn more about the Lord as they serve Him in the local church; the evening services (Sunday evening and mid-week prayer meeting) which have seen an increase in attendance, the children’s ministry which has also seen a rise not only in the attendance of the children but also of new teachers. To equip these new teachers for the work, a training course is ongoing for them weekly. During Easter holiday, we held evangelistic meetings similar as in December 2007, but this time round all 6 people who came to accept Christ were on holiday and left after Easter. Nevertheless, we are praying for their spiritual growth where they are; looking forward that the Lord will use the New Testament we have given them to lead them in the right path. Besides, the Lord has granted me wonderful opportunities to minister His word to three different congregations in Lomé and outside of Lomé. Praise the Lord that in each church there were commitments or rededications and decisions for Christ.
Our prayer requests.
The area our church is located being a developing one, many of the residents do come from old areas of the city and the majority of them is related to these old churches. As we witness to them on visitation, we find out that though they are not born again, they have been made to believe that their membership in those churches equals to salvation. The few that are courageous enough to confess Christ, and begin to come to church, are one way or the other persecuted till they quit coming. Please join us in prayers that the Lord turns the situation round so that souls may be more readily saved and join the church;
The expansion of our church building (since March ending we were forced to put up a temporal structure in front of the building to accommodate the people);
My family’s monthly support and accommodation problems;
A vehicle for the ministry as I have been using my second hand ‘’Vespa moto bike‘’ since 1996 and it is more than inappropriate for the work;
We are expecting our third child around October 2008; please pray for my wife’s health as we prepare to welcome this baby.
Two brethren have surrendered to serve the Lord (brother Daniel during Rev. Volante’s preaching last February and brother Bernard last Sunday during my preaching) Please pray for them as they seek the Lord leading for their ministry.
Looking forward to hearing what the Lord is doing among you, We pray the continues to bless the noble ministry He has rntusted into our hands.
For Christ's sake only.
