Missionary Letter:
Dear friends:
By the grace of God, we have seen fruit of our work with the weekly Bible Clubs and we are reaching our goals. This ministry had not only been a door to reach the children of Techiman, but also the people that live in the areas where we have the clubs. Each week we have the opportunity to share the gospel with someone during this time. Also, we rejoice to see that some of the children from the clubs are attending the church. 40 of them were there last Sunday. We have special activities with them during the month of December and the teaching is focused on the birth of Messiah.
This month we had the blessing of directing the camp that year by year the church has for the children in the Christian school. Our theme was "Equipped for Battle". We had different activities, crafts, games, Bible memoriztion, and above all preaching and teaching with emphasis on putting on the armor of God. Pastor John Volante and his wife Patty were the invited speakers, and were greatly used of God to impact the lives of more than 350 students. During this week 45 of them received Christ as their Savior and many more made decisions to give their lives and surrendered to the service of God.
During the week of camp, our son Nathanial, had an accident that casued injury to his eye. One of them was very deep and we feared that he would lose his sight. The clinic in Techiman, that has only a nurse and not a doctor, was closed. We had to travel to the next town, Sunyani to look for an eye doctor. We thank God that a doctor examined his eye and prescribed medicine, that by the grace of God was effective and now our son is cmpletely recovered.
The first week of the month of December, our mission agency had a conference. The preaching and teaching were a great challange for our lives and ministries. It was very encouraging to be in fellowship with other missionaries that work in three different countries of Africa and to hear what God is doing in other Works. We had the privilege to share a message with the pastors during this week. The wives of the missionaries had special services, as well as our children had their teaching. We thank God for this time.
God has been very good to us. He has supplied all of our needs and has given us grace to serve Him, which is always sufficient to do what pleases Him. There is still alot about this culture that is new to us, but day by day the Lord is teaching us to put more of our hearts in the work to see the great necessity that these people have to know the Lord and His Word. We thank you with all of our hearts for your generous and faithful economic and prayer support. Thank you for holding the ropes!
Miguel Triano and family.
