Ahansua is a rustic village with a population of about 2,500 people. Most of the people
living here are northern settlers seeking work or a better life. New settlements are springing up all
around the village. Most people in town profess to be Catholics, Seventh Day Adventists or Traditioal
worshipers; but there are a few Pentecostals, Presbyterians and Muslims.
Currently we are trying to reach out to both Aniteafi and Kuntunso, two nearby villages,
but we are faced with two major problems. First, the Moslem parents are now preventing their children
from attending the church, and secondly, when these village children reach 7th grade they leave the
villages to attend Senior High Schools in the city and never return.
We do praise the Lord for the recent conversion of a Moslem woman who is also willing to
be baptized. We hope that her testimony will help us reach out to the other Moslems in our village.
By the grace of God, Rev. Stephen Adama, a seasoned pastor from the north will be coming
to join us in the work here in Ahansua early in 2008. Please pray with us as we look to God for the
finances to support Pastor Stephen and his family as they join us in the work. Thank you for your
faithful support.
