Calvary Baptist Church of Bonkwai, Ghana

Pastor Atta Christopher Takyi & Family Bonkwai is a village about 15 kilometers outside Techiman. This ministry got started through a strong testimony of a converted Moslem woman in Calvary Baptist Church in Techiman. After she received Christ, God used this woman to reach many others. There was a fire burning in her heart for other Muslims and friends. One of the friends she invited to visit Calvary Baptist Church was the Queen Mother of Bonkwai who was also a Moslem. The Queen Mother received Christ as her Savior.

This year we have seen the Lord work in wonderful ways with many people professing Christ as their personal Savior remaining faithful in their worship, and obedient in baptism. This year God allowed us to baptize 48 people and now they are growing spiritually in Christian walk and fellowship in the body, so that we are now averaging around 180 each Sunday morning.

This Easter our church members worked hard at inviting the people from the surrounding villages and the Lord blessed us with a total of 450 people, and 14 adults praying to receive Christ as Savior.

Bonkwai building under Construction Please continue to pray with us as we look forward to building a children’s ministry building on our church property. We again thank you for your prayer support and financial help that we have received during this past year.
